Wahay! We have some hot water - not quite in the house (in the bathroom) but it is water and it is hot! The really old water heater above the basin works, the water runs clear and very hot we can now wash our hands, unfortunately the basin is a bit revolting so Kelvin has to replace that but we certainly won't be ripping out the heater now!

February - a conclusion

That was an exciting month wasn't it! Above is literally all that occurred housewise. Kelvin did panel one wall in the bathroom which made a great difference but now the damp is coming through again. We FINALLY agreed the plans and hopefully the architect should have submitted them to the planning department at the council which takes anything from eight weeks to agree (if they agree first time) which takes us up to the 1st May, then we have to go to Building Control and I'm unsure how long that takes AND (big 'and' here) the builders are meant to start on the 1st June! Oh my God we are never going to get the relevant planning in place in time - ahahahahahahah! I can't see March being any more exciting but hopefully soon we should have something to put on here that will be interesting to read again!
