Contact us!

This is the website of Kelvin, Sarah, Lauren and Billy Curnow as we embark on what will probably be the most challenging year of our life to date!

Firstly, about us……

We have been married since 1994 and our daughter Lauren was born in June 1997. In May 1995 we successfully bought our first house in Carharrack, Cornwall . We have spent many happy years here and enjoy being part of local village life. In October of 2002 Kelvin’s granny sadly passed away leaving Kelvin her house. It was always Kelvin’s grandparents wish that he should have their house upon their passing.

Although we are both very grateful to have this opportunity the house is in need of some major renovation! As it currently stands it has a lounge, dining room and lean-to kitchen downstairs plus outside bathroom. Upstairs there are two bedrooms (one double and one small single). There is no water in the house at all – the water is supplied by an outside tap next to the back door. The heating is currently supplied by two open fires (one in the dining room and one in the lounge) and the kitchen consists of a cooker and a chest of drawers. The house is a traditional Cornish cottage and has lovely views towards the old tin mine workings at South Crofty out towards the sea and of course the beautiful Carn Brea with it’s castle and monument.

Our house in Carharrack is rather large (3 bedrooms plus 3 reception rooms) so we are currently having a massive sort out to rid ourselves of what we don’t need (we are both hoarders!), the charity shops are doing well! We will have a shed for storage for the time being until the works are completed on the new house and we have the use of a loft again.

We put our house on the market in the last week of October, 9 days later we had a viewer (a gentleman with his son) who offered us full asking price there and then! Of course we accepted. The sale is taking a little longer than anticipated but hopefully we will get there very soon and can finally make the big move……..
